About Me

Here's a picture of me I'm a passionate nature photographer and a conservation-biologist wannabe based in Quito, Ecuador.

I have been interested by wildlife, travel and exploration for as long as I can remember. With time I have got more and more involved into biology in general, and most recently my interest has been focused in herpetology (the study of reptiles and amphibians). During the past few years photography has increasingly interested me, of course coupled with my passion for nature and wildlife. It is my intention to work both areas together learning as much as I can from each of them in order to help conservation efforts as a biologist and to divulge information as a photographer.

Much of my photographic inspiration comes from Jorge Arteaga, my father, who guided me in the photography world, teaching me and giving me advices. I'm always looking forward to improve my photographic abilities, I'm just a beginner so any advise or guidance is very much appreciated.

Reptiles, amphibians and their habitats are, by far, my favorite photographic subjects, as you will see from the images here, but if there's an opportunity to photograph other wildlife I won't pass it up.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy this site.
